ACCEA's Perfect-Bound Booklet Printing
Perfect binding is a binding method where the pages are secured along the spine with adhesive and attached to a wraparound cover.
It provides a clean, professional finish and is ideal for catalogs, magazines, books, and other documents with higher page counts.
This method is frequently used for catalogs, brochures, company profiles, training materials, reports, portfolios, and more.

Index
Printing (Cover & Inner Pages)
The thicker cover paper and the collated inner pages are printed separately with high precision. 
Binding
The inner pages' spine is milled for better glue adhesion, hot-melt adhesive is applied, and the cover is wrapped and clamped firmly to form square, durable spine edges. 
Three-Side Trimming
Once the glue cures, the top, bottom, and outer edges are trimmed with a precision cutter to ensure clean and even borders.

Size & Binding Direction
- Q1. What finished sizes are available?
- Two sizes are available: A4 Portrait (210×297mm) and A5 Portrait (148×210mm). Other finished sizes (custom sizes) are not supported through the EC order form. We're sorry for the inconvenience, but please submit your order details here.
- Q2. Can I choose the binding direction (left-bound / right-bound)?
- Yes, both "Left Binding" and "Right Binding" are available for both A4 and A5 sizes.
Page Count & Quantity
- Q3. Are there any conditions for entering the page count?
- Please enter only the body page count (excluding the cover). The page count must be an even number (multiple of 2). The available page count range varies depending on the combination of cover and interior paper stock (for example, 60–650 pages for 70gsm Copy Paper interior paper combined with 250gsm Art Card cover). Please refer to the page-count range displayed below the input field after selecting your paper options.
- Q4. I'd like to order with an odd number of pages, 39 pages or fewer, or more than 1,000 pages — is that possible?

Note: Perfect binding cannot be used if the spine width exceeds 30mm, due to structural limitations. Depending on the page count and paper thickness, we may not be able to accommodate your request even after consultation via the page above. Thank you for your understanding. - Q5. Is there a limit on the quantity (number of copies)?

You may enter any quantity freely through the EC order form. Please note that the additional charge for spine printing is a flat fee, regardless of the number of copies ordered. Please see Q12 for details.

- No, the price is the same for both single-sided and double-sided cover printing.
Finishing
- Q10. Can the cover be laminated?
- Only matt lamination (Yes/No) can be selected. If you require a finish other than matt lamination, such as gloss lamination, this is not supported through the EC order form. Please submit your order details here.
- Q11. Can the spine be printed?
- Yes, this is possible (+RM15.00). Availability depends on the combination of cover paper, interior paper, and page count. Please refer to Q12 for details. Please note that the layout design for the spine must be prepared by the customer (publisher).
- Q12. Does the available page range for spine printing vary depending on the paper used?

Yes. The available page count range varies depending on the combination of cover and interior paper stock (for example, 70–650 pages for a 70gsm Copy Paper interior combined with a 250gsm Art Card cover).

Other / Special Specifications
- Q13. Are there any specifications for file format or file size for submitted data?

The cover must be submitted using our designated Adobe Illustrator template. For the interior, we recommend submitting a single PDF file containing all pages, one side per page. Each interior page must include 3 mm bleed beyond the trim edge and a safety margin of at least 3 mm inside the trim edge for important text and design elements.
